About Martin

Martin Ingelsson has a long-standing collaboration with Tiago Outeiro on studies of molecular aspects in Parkinson’s disease and has previously worked together with Jochen Klucken in the same field of research. In a new project, he is working together with Alberto Lleo and Christine von Arnim to discover novel cerebrospinal fluid-based biomarkers for neuroinflammation in Alzheimer’s disease. Together with Mikko Hiltunen he participates in a European initiative aimed at elucidating adiditional genetic factors underlying Alzheimer’s disease and he has previously collaborated with Lars Bertram on the same topic. With Monica Garcia-Alloza and Tara Spires-Jones he is investigating molecular brain features of patients with a co-morbidity of Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes mellitus. Furthermore, with Tara Spires Jones he is also characterizing synaptic pathology in a newly generated mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease.
